Jordan: Youssef Hilo
Licensed Jordanian tour guide and certified expert translator Youssef Hilo has over 20 years of experience introducing visitors to the history, art and archaeology of Jordan. He is a committed member of the Friends of Archaeology of Jordan and has been elected a board member several times. In 2002 he completed a World Teach course dedicated to fostering excellence in teaching the Biblical history and geography in Jordan from the Jordan Evangelical Theological Seminary in Amman, Jordan. In addition to his career as a guide and translator, Mr. Hilo is active in the academic community and regularly participates in international conferences such as the Conference on Science and Technology in Archaeology and Conservation and maintains close relationships with academic and archaeological missions conducting research in Jordan.

October 26 – Tour the city of Amman, Irad El Amir, Bethany Beyond the Jordan and the Dead Sea. Overnight Amman. (B*,D)
October 27 – Mt. Nebo, Madaba. Overnight Petra. (B,D)
October 28– Full-day tour of Petra. Return to Amman Hotel for dinner and overnight. (B,D)
October 29 – Visit Jerash and Gardara before transferring to the Sheikh Hussein border. Cross to Israel (B)
October 29 – Tour the Roman city of Beth Shean before transferring to Tiberias. Overnight Tiberias. (D)
October 30 – Visit sites along the shores of the Sea of Galilee such as Capernaum, Mount of Beatitudes, Banias and the famous “Galilee Boat.” Overnight Tiberias. (B,D)
October 31 – Cana, Nazareth, Sepphoris (B,D)
November 1 – Visit Megiddo, Mt. Carmel and Caesarea before continuing on to Jerusalem. Overnight Jerusalem (B,D)
November 2 – Tour the Old City of Jerusalem, including the City of David, the Via Dolorosa, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and the Garden Tomb (B,D)
November 3 – Tour the New City of Jerusalem and the Israel Museum before continuing on to Herodium and then Bethlehem to visit Church of the Nativity. (B,D)
November 4 – Lachish, Valley of Elah and Jaffa, Overnight Jerusalem (B,D)
November 5 – Qsar al Yahud, Qumran, Masada. Overnight Jerusalem (B,D)
November 6 – Transfer to Tel Aviv for flight back to the U.S. (B)
