October 27, Thursday: Abu Simbel
Day trip to Abu Simbel (Charter Flight) / Visit to the relocated temples of Ramesses II and Hathor / Fly back to Aswan for dinner and overnight. Time permitting, take a boat trip to the nearby Nubian village. (B/D)
October 28, Friday: Aswan
Visit the Aswan Dam complex and discuss the construction and issues presented by its construction. Travel to the temples of Philae via boat. Also, go to Elephantine Island to see the museum. Finish the day at the only granite stone quarry in Egypt to see the unfinished obelisk. Board the tour cruise ship to begin your journey down the Nile. (B/D)
October 29, Saturday: Kom Ombo and Edfu
At Kom Ombo, visit the Temple of Horus and Sobek / Visit crocodile mummies in museum / Afternoon – depart ship and travel by carriage to Edfu – Temple of Horus / Return to the cruise ship / Dress like an ancient Egyptian night. (B/D)
