Skyview’s 2013 Creative Shot Contest

Skyview Photography Ltd is an Israeli aerial photography agency whose archaeological photography is frequently featured in the pages of BAR. Readers familiar with Skyview’s site photography may not be aware of their Creative Shot Contest, in which excavation volunteers decorate their excavation areas—with their bodies. What began as an idea for souvenir shots evolved into an artistic inter-site project, according to Skyview’s Pascal Partouche. Thus, Skyview’s 2013 Creative Shot Contest was born.

Congratulations to Aren Maeir and the Tell es-Safi team, the winners of this year’s contest. Tell es-Safi/Gath’s 2012 Philistine bird was featured in the January/February 2013 issue of BAR.

For a gallery of Skyview’s photography, visit the Skyview website or the Skyview Facebook page. Congratulations again to Tell es-Safi/Gath!
