Bible and archaeology news
The Israeli government this week approved plans for a new Jerusalem museum that will be dedicated to the Bible, Biblical studies and interfaith dialogue. The museum, which will feature a sculpture garden, informative Bible displays, and exhibits showcasing daily life in Biblical times, will be funded primarily by the nonprofit Bible Valley group, though Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz said the new museum would be given land and building space for free. Various sites are being considered for the museum, including the area near the campus of the Israel Museum and the Bible Lands Museum.
