Bible and Archaeology News
The American Schools of Oriental Research (ASOR) announced this week that during the month of April it is providing free access to the past four years of content from its major journals—Near Eastern Archaeology, the Bulletin of the American Schools of Oriental Research (BASOR) and the Journal of Cuneiform Studies. Readers can take advantage of the offer by registering a username and password with the JSTOR online service where back issues of the various publications can be accessed. The ASOR journals present scholars and the broader public with the most recent research and trends in the fields of Near Eastern archaeology and history. Both BASOR, the organization’s flagship scholarly journal, and Near Eastern Archaeology, a semi-popular magazine, include articles covering the entire eastern Mediterranean from the Paleolithic period through Islamic times. The Journal of Cuneiform Studies presents scholarly articles on the history and languages of the ancient Mesopotamian and Anatolia.
