Biblical Archaeology Society (“BAS”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through compliance with this policy. 1.2.1 Directly from you when subscribing to BAS’s print magazine and related digital content.
1.2.2 Automatically when you navigate this site, which may include IP address, usage details, and through cookies or web beacons as necessary for maintenance of this Website. The information collected automatically does not contain personal information.

2. USE OF INFORMATION

2.1 The information collected about you, including any personal information, may be used to:
2.1.1 To provide you with information, products, or services that you request from BAS.
2.1.2 To provide you with notices about your subscription, including expiration and renewal notices.
2.1.3 To fulfill our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and BAS, including for billing and collection.
2.1.4 To notify you about changes to our Website, or any products or services offered by BAS and its affiliates.
2.1.5 For any other purpose with your consent.
2.2 We may also use your information to contact you about other goods and services that may be of interest to you from BAS, its affiliates, or third parties.

2.2.2 Please allow 30 days for your request to take effect.

3.1 We may disclose your personal information provided by you, and collected by BAS, as described in this Privacy Notice:
3.1.1 To fulfill the purpose for which you provide it.
3.1.2 To our subsidiaries and affiliates.
3.1.3 To contractors, vendors, service providers, and other third parties utilized by BAS to support our business, and who are bound by contractual obligations to keep personal information confidential and to use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it.
3.1.4 To third parties to market their products or services to you if you have not opted-out of these disclosures. We contractually require these third parties to keep personal information confidential and to use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it.
3.1.5 For any other purpose disclosed by BAS when you provide the information.
3.1.6 With your consent.
3.2 We may also disclose your personal information:
3.2.1 To comply with any court order, law, regulation, or legal process, including responding to any government or regulatory request.
3.2.2 To enforce and apply our Terms of Use, this Privacy Notice, or any other applicable agreements, including for billing and collection purposes.

4. MINORS

4.1 This Website is not intended for children under 13 years of age. No one under age 13 may provide any personal information to BAS or on the Website.
4.2 We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. If BAS learns that it has collected or otherwise received personal information from a child under 13 years of age without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information.
4.3 If you are under 13 years of age, do not use or provide any information on this Website or in subscribing to BAS’s print publications, including your name, address, telephone number, email address, or any other personally identifiable information.
4.4 If you believe that BAS might have any information from, or about, a child under 13 years of age, please contact us at the address and/or email address listed in Section 9.

5. ACCESSING AND CORRECTING YOUR INFORMATION

5.1 You may contact us in writing via the email address listed in Section 9 to request access to, correct or delete any personal information that you have provided to us.
5.2 BAS may retain a copy of the information subject to the request to access and correct your information for legal purposes and in accordance with this Privacy Notice.
5.3 We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.

6. YOUR STATE PRIVACY RIGHTS

6.1 BAS recognizes that the Website may be accessed by Subscribers in U.S. States which may be subject to more stringent privacy rights granted by the individual state’s applicable privacy law and regulations as further described below.
6.1.1 California.
6.1.1.1 BAS is a 501(c) non-profit organization.
6.1.1.2 BAS does not possess personal information of 50,000 or more California consumers, households, and devices.

7. DATA SECURITY

7.1 BAS has implemented measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure.
7.2 All information you voluntarily provide to us is stored on secure servers.

8. CHANGE TO PRIVACY NOTICE

8.1 This Privacy Notice may be changed at any time at BAS’s discretion to address any changes in the collection, use, and processing of your personal information and to address developments in applicable laws, administrative rules, and regulations.
8.2 In the event that this Privacy Notice is changed in any material way, BAS will provide notice of the change via the Website home page and via email to the email address registered to your account.
8.3 You are responsible for ensuring that we have a current and active email address for you, and for periodically visiting this Privacy Notice and our Website to review any changes.
